NetShark

SteelCentral™ NetShark was formerly referred to as Cascade Shark. Visit SteelCentral NetShark overview page to learn more.

Updating directly from the 9.5.x train or 9.6 is not supported. Please refer to the SteelCentral Compatibility Guide prior to updating NetShark or NetProfiler.

Customers with SteelCentral NetShark model 8170 visit SteelCentral AppResponse 11 for software and documentation.

UPGRADING:
SteelCentral AppResponse 11 is the upgrade path for all NetShark 2170, 4170 and 6170 customers.  For customers upgrading from NetShark to the AppResponse 11 software, be aware that the upgrade process requires loading and full configuration of this new software.

Once a NetShark system has upgraded to AppResponse 11 software, it will not be possible to downgrade back to NetShark software.

If you are upgrading a NetShark xx70 appliance, you must first upgrade your serial number on the Asset Upgrade on Demand page to obtain a license key for SteelCentral AppResponse 11.
