AppResponse 11 & Packet Analyzer Plus
SteelCentral AppResponse 11 combines the key features of SteelCentral NetShark and SteelCentral AppResponse 9 and is the upgrade path for feature enhancements to the SteelCentral NetShark and AppResponse 9 products.
Analysis of packets on the AppResponse 11 appliance is accomplished with the Packet Analyzer Plus client, a version of Packet Analyzer that works just with AppResponse 11 systems. Each AppResponse 11 appliance comes with one Packet Analyzer Plus client included.
Customers should verify interoperability with other Riverbed products by reviewing KB article S27459 (SteelCentral Interoperability).
VERSION 11.6.5 UPGRADE ALERT:
Version 11.6.5 supports the next generation xx80 hardware, and can only be installed on xx80 hardware appliances. This specific version does not support other hardware platforms or upgrades from prior versions.
UPGRADE ALERT:
There are feature and upgrade key considerations customers should review in planning a SteelCentral AppResponse 11 upgrade. Before performing your upgrade we strongly recommend you review KB article S30848 (AppResponse 11 Upgrades from AppResponse 9: Key Considerations)
Customers upgrading from SteelCentral AppResponse version 9 and/or NetShark to the AppResponse 11 software must be aware that the upgrade will erase all previous disk-based content on the appliance and it is not possible to downgrade back to original software.
AppResponse 11.5.0a and later are NOT compatible with existing versions of NetProfiler versions earlier than 10.14. Customers who want to continue the integration of AR11 with NetProfiler should also plan to upgrade to NetProfiler 10.14 (or later) to maintain solution integration.
